it-is-not-my-fault-at-all

Dearest Darling Friends,

In his ground breaking book, The Magic of Thinking Big, David Schwartz coined the word “EXCUSITIS”. He defined it as “The disease of failures.”

What is Excusitis?  It is a disease found occurring in the majority of the population. It is caused by a deadly virus “it-is-not my-fault-at-all”.

Most people have at least a mild case of it. Some have a severe acute case. Motivation is a known home remedy. Yet people look for fancier medicines outside. Patients do not take the complete dosage and hence most people relapse very fast. Strong symptoms of the presence of this virus are Blames, Complains, and Self-Pity.”

Acute case of excusitis is characterized by frequent justifications by the patient over something that did not or will not work. Other symptoms include: negativity, difficulty accepting new challenges, feelings of powerlessness and complainitis (which usually develops into Annoying’s Disease). This Annoying's disease infects the whole house very rapidly.

Diagnosis is usually made orally. The patient may self-diagnose. The more the silence during diagnosis, the better are the results. Just verify if the following phrases are repeated frequently:

I don’t have time
My luck is not good
I dont have enough support
My team is not good enough
As long as that person does not change, I cannot.....
If only…
It was not my responsibility...
I did everything I could but…
I’m too [young, old, fat, poor, shy…]
I don’t have anyone to help me
I don’t have the [education, money, motivation…] for that
The problems is…
I’ll do it after [watching this TV serial, finishing the emergencies, replying to my emails, consulting many people, tomorrow, etc]
The TREATMENT

In the morning - Help the patient to get his/her backside out of their chair / sofa / bed with a smile and full on energy.

Three times a day - Take one tablespoon of action....before 12 noon, before 3 pm, before 6 pm every day for seven days.

Once every day - Appreciate someone in at least three sentences and not more than four sentences.

Once a week - Write a 'thank you' letter / mail to any person.

Once in two weeks or twice in a month - Help a stranger.

The patient should notice improvement on the very first day of treatment, and should progressively improve from then on. Within 30 days, remarkable change will be visible. Results are guaranteed.

Side EFFECTS

Self-drive, purposeful living, unreasonalble happiness are the noticeable side effects. You may also find yourself forgiving others and an inability to hold on to hurts and heart burns.

Warning

The “it-is-not my-fault-at-all” virus cannot be fully eradicated. It lies dormant in a patient’s immune system waiting for the opportunity to strike back. Alertness is the best known cure and prevention is the best way to tackle this disease. It is strongly advised that contact with people in the active phase of this disease should be avoided at all costs.

Prayers

May you never get this disease.

Suggestion

If you notice anyone showing signs of this disease, immediately get them enrolled to Life School's "Whats your Excuse?" Program.
